More Snow pictures

March 8th, 2010 by danandkari

We got a lot of snow this year! More than any year since we’ve lived here. It made me feel like I was back in Buffalo. We took full advantage of all the snow. We spent a lot of time outside shoveling, making snow angels, throwing snow balls, and making our snow fort. Both boys loved playing in the snow. I was amazed at how long they could stay outside without complaining. Of course, they loved coming inside for hot chocolate!

When Dan shoveled, he piled all of the snow into one big hill. Then he dug it out to make a snow fort. The boys liked going in the fort and also went sledding down the backside of the fort.

We had a lot of fun in the snow this year, but I’m quite thankful for the warmer temperatures. It’s funny to be outside playing with no coats on and still see a big snow pile.

Happy 22nd!

February 22nd, 2010 by danandkari

Obviously, we love the 22nd around here! Both boys are wearing sweatshirts with the number 22 on them today. It’s hard for me to resist buying shirts with the number 22 on them.

Alex is 21 months old today, so the pictures in this post show him over the past month. Alex has quite a personality, and he lets it show in just about every photo.

He is doing very well with his big accomplishment of the past month,  sleeping in a big boy bed.  Sometimes he will get out of bed to get a book but quickly scurry back, especially if he hears someone coming.  He is  tall for his age (in the 90th percentile) and has big hands and feet, wearing a size 7 shoe. Owen is only a size 8! Soon Alex might be giving shoe hand-me downs to Owen!

Alex has entered a baby phase recently. He gets so excited whenever he sees one and keeps  saying “Baby, baby”.  We spent a long time online looking at baby videos. It was so cute to watch him. He would kiss the babies, laugh when they laughed, and all the while kept saying “more baby bideos”!

We love our little Alexander!  It’s hard to believe he will be 2 years old in 3 more months!

Jumpin Joey’s

February 12th, 2010 by danandkari

We were sad to find out that Jumpin Joey’s was closing at the end of January. I took the boys one last time. We meet up with two families from church that have boys in Owen’s class. They had a great time playing together! We were sad, until we found out that they are re-opening in a new location!

Story time

Both of the boys love to read books! One of my favorite times is when both boys are sitting on my lap reading books with me. Owen’s favorite books lately are truck books and Dr. Seuss. Alex likes Spot books and his Petey book.

Gamers in the making

The boys have discovered video games. They really don’t know what they are doing, but they enjoy trying.
